Most advocacy and communications work still relies on the same tools: policy briefs, press releases, and stakeholder meetings. These remain important, but they are no longer enough. Decision-makers are overwhelmed with information, and public attention is fragmented.

To cut through, organisations need approaches that are strategic, creative, and human.

I bring a rare combination of skills: a strong background in international law, human rights, political analysis, and protection, alongside experience in advocacy, campaigning, storytelling, and creative communication. Having worked for more than ten years, with the United Nations and international NGOs in Brussels, Geneva, New York, and field contexts, I understand how policy change happens, and why it often fails.

I help organisations translate complex political and legal issues into narratives and campaigns that resonate with policymakers, donors, and the public. For me, creativity is a core part of advocacy and a powerful strategic tool and this is why I pursued additional trainings in storytelling and creative communication. Storytelling, art, participatory approaches, and community engagement can shift narratives, mobilise allies, and influence political agendas. By combining rigorous analysis with creative methods, I support organisations to design advocacy tools, campaigns and communications that are not only credible, but memorable, engaging, and impactful.

What is Advocacy & Why is it important?

Advocacy is the act of speaking up, influencing decisions, and driving change on behalf of a cause, a community, or an issue. It means using evidence, storytelling, public engagement, and policy influence to shift attitudes, laws, funding, or behavior.

At its core, advocacy is about turning ideas into impact but also about making sure that people who are often unheard are represented where decisions are made. It can shape laws and policies, shift how society sees an issue, and tackle the root causes of problems, not just the symptoms. By building public support and political will, advocacy transforms awareness into real, lasting impact that improves lives.
